This highly-regarded degree combines practical experience with problem-based learning, developing your skills in sport, exercise, and health, alongside communication, academic writing, and project management. You’ll complete community projects and gain real-world industry experience to deepen your expertise.
In the first year, courses cover Bioscience, Sport, Exercise, and Health, plus your first community project. The second year allows specialization in Advanced Sport, Exercise, Health, or Massage, with a second community project. The third year focuses on a major final community project.
For massage and health specialities, you’ll begin with the New Zealand Diploma in Wellness and Relaxation Massage, then progress into the second year of the programme, meeting requirements for registration with Massage New Zealand (MNZ) as a rehabilitation massage therapist.
