Course description

This program equips students with essential knowledge in audio production while enabling them to refine their skills in diverse areas such as live sound, recording, producing, and post-production. The educational experience encompasses both practical and theoretical components, including collaboration with local entities to enhance professional networking. Students will receive instruction and mentorship from experienced professionals in the field. They will engage with both analogue and digital technologies in advanced facilities, mastering various software applications in small class sizes to ensure ample hands-on experience.

The institution features exceptional facilities, including five recording studios outfitted with high-quality equipment, a recording auditorium, and a 300-seat professional theatre. Furthermore, there is a close partnership with SIT’s Contemporary Music and Screen Arts programs, the School of Audio Engineering in Byron Bay, and AVID Technology. Third-year Bachelor students are also presented with the opportunity to intern for twelve weeks at SAE’s Byron Bay campus in Australia.
