The BCJ represents a pioneering academic program in Aotearoa, integrating a multidisciplinary approach with a robust vocational emphasis. The curriculum in Criminal Justice offers a comprehensive examination of the criminal justice system and its various processes, encompassing governance, enforcement, rehabilitation, and enhancement. This degree leverages the University of Canterbury’s strengths in criminology, sociology, developmental and behavioral psychology, policing, criminal law and procedure, as well as human services.
