This is a distinctive degree that integrates urban planning with natural resource management. The field of planning is a forward-looking profession that addresses both the natural and human aspects of our environment. It focuses on the variety within our communities, the efficiency of our economy, and the health of our natural ecosystems. You will engage in essential planning courses and also pursue a minor in a related area that aligns with your specific interests and goals.

Graduates can apply the training locally or overseas in a variety of professional and applied environments such as those listed below:
-City/district councils
-Regional councils
-Central government (eg, Ministry for the Environment, Department of Conservation, New Zealand Transport Agency, Environmental Protection Authority)
– Private consulting firms and corporates (such as Fonterra)
-Environmental and other non-governmental organisations.
Academic requirement:
-There are specific secondary and tertiary academic prerequisites that depend on the country where the initial education was completed.
