Bachelor of Screen Arts (with majors in Animation, Digital Content Creation, Film & Game Design)

The program will empower students to actively participate and cultivate skills in teamwork and collaboration from the very first day, fostering essential creative problem-solving abilities that are crucial for success in the screen and animation sectors.

Course description

Students will cultivate practical expertise in both 2D and 3D art and animation production, allowing them to craft engaging storytelling experiences for a wide variety of target audiences. They will participate in both solo and group projects, gaining exposure to an extensive range of skills and experiences that will prepare them for a rewarding and creative career.

The Animation major is dedicated to fostering students’ creativity and technical proficiency in developing intricate character and narrative projects.

The Concept Art & Design major focuses on developing your creativity and technical skills to develop complex design based projects. You will be getting experience using techniques from the creative industries.

The Film major focuses on developing your creativity and technical skills with filmmaking and story telling.

The Game Design major focuses on developing your creativity and technical skills to develop complex story-based interactive projects.

Depending on the specialisation chosen, students will be able to look for work in numerous roles within the 3D animation, 2D animation, motion graphics, concept art, design, video editing, screenwriting, directing, as well as other film/television production, game development and design industries.

Entry requirements

Overseas qualification equivalent to university entrance and/or applicants with evidence of relevant prior learning and work experience.

Portfolio of work including examples of freehand drawings and latest artwork. Telephone/Skype interviews may be required.

Non-native English speakers must provide proof of proficiency through one of the following:

IELTS Test – Academic score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5
Pearson Test of English – PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42
