Course description

Students will engage in foundational studies encompassing sports management, exercise conditioning, nutrition, and sport science/sports performance. Following this, students will select their preferred area of specialization. The program offers a dynamic blend of theoretical insights and practical experiences within small class settings, ensuring that journey towards obtaining a degree remains stimulating, invigorating, and aligned with industry standards.

The curriculum includes courses in anatomy, physiology, exercise prescription, strength conditioning, nutrition, sports performance, industry placements, exercise physiology, rehabilitation, sports medicine, psychology, research, communication, business and marketing, event management, and applied studies in sport science, management, and teaching.

Students utilize state-of-the-art equipment in our Human Performance Centre, which features a VO2 metabolic cart, EMG, ECG, anti-gravity treadmill, 3D Body Composition analyser, Wattbikes, an eccentric bike, and various testing and exercise tools. Students frequently have the opportunity to collaborate with elite local athletes. The degree is grounded in sport science while also emphasizing health and well-being through lifestyle, nutrition, and exercise.

Overseas qualification equivalent to university entrance and/or applicants with evidence of relevant prior learning and work experience
