The course offers students a recognized qualification in the early childhood education sector. Students will attend on-campus classes two days a week and will be required to complete at least 12 hours per week in a licensed early childhood education service, which includes block placements across various early childhood environments. This program provides valuable experience working with infants, toddlers, and young children. The program equips graduates to teach within the bicultural framework of Aotearoa New Zealand.
This course is structured to set you on a fulfilling career path as an early childhood kaiako (teacher). Upon successful completion, you will qualify for teacher registration and provisional certification with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand.
