After completing your first year and acquiring essential skills, your second year will allow you to focus on a specific area of software development, such as Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, or Game Development. These specialized fields have been deliberately selected for our diploma program due to their prominence in the global technology sector and their continued growth. During your studies, you will have the opportunity to connect and network with fellow students who share similar interests, ultimately graduating with a New Zealand Diploma in Software Development (Level 6) and the skills and confidence necessary to pursue entry-level positions as a software developer.
The Tech Faculty has established and is actively nurturing robust partnerships with prominent technology educators and organizations both in New Zealand and internationally, which enhances students’ skills and increases the visibility of graduates within the tech industry. As a direct benefit, our Cloud Computing students can obtain AWS certifications, while our Cyber Security students have the chance to earn data-rich digital badges from IBM or Cisco Networking Academy, both of which are recognized in the tech industry and will significantly improve their career prospects.
