Students will obtain a graduate qualification that will adequately prepare them for careers in the criminal justice sector, specifically in positions within Ngā Pirihimana O Aotearoa | New Zealand Police, Tāhū o te Ture | Ministry of Justice, and Ara Poutama Aotearoa | Department of Corrections.
Additionally, the Graduate Diploma is pertinent for employment in various government sectors, including prisons, probation and parole, criminal justice policy, forensics, public and private investigation, security, and social work.
To qualify for entry into the Graduate Diploma, applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree, which does not have to be in the same discipline. For those who earned their qualifications internationally, an evaluation will be required to verify that the degree is of comparable quality.
