This course seeks to enhance a broad theoretical comprehension of sport and exercise while fostering a holistic appreciation of their importance to the community. It acknowledges the significance of the Treaty of Waitangi for the New Zealand populace and raises awareness regarding the treaty’s implications for community and resource management in the context of sport and exercise. Students will develop a wide array of practical competencies in the sport and exercise field through close collaboration with various organizations.
The Graduate Diploma in Sport and Exercise is intended to complement the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise program, providing opportunities for degree-level graduates from relevant backgrounds or individuals already working in the Sport and Recreation sectors to advance their studies in this discipline. A prerequisite for entry into the course is a foundational knowledge of anatomy and nutrition.
