Course description

The Mate Fishing Vessel Limited Strand is designed for individuals currently employed as deckhands on fishing vessels who aspire to advance to managerial roles overseeing fishing operations within coastal and offshore boundaries, specifically up to 200 nautical miles from the New Zealand coastline. This program is ideal for those who possess the Maritime New Zealand Advanced Deckhand – Fishing licence and/or have experience working as a deckhand on a fishing vessel. If you do not have the MNZ Advanced Deckhand – Fishing licence, you will be required to complete a Training Record Book while at sea before enrolling in the program.
