As the volume of data being captured continues to rise, there is an increasing demand for professionals who can manage extensive data collections and leverage them through various data analysis techniques. The notion that “data is the raw material of the 21st century” underscores this trend.

Graduates of the Master of Business Data Science (MBusDataSc) program will gain advanced expertise in several key areas. They will understand how to apply data analysis in business contexts, recognize ethical and privacy issues and how to address them, comprehend technologies for managing large data sets and how to choose the appropriate ones, and be proficient in different data analysis techniques and their applications.

This program can be completed within 12 months, commencing in February (semester 1), and offers flexibility for students to study either on campus or through distance learning.

1. Hold a graduate degree with an average grade of B in the final year major subject requirements, including evidence of passing at least one first-year-equivalent paper in both computer programming and statistics.
2. Possess alternative qualifications deemed acceptable by the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Commerce).
