The program focuses on culturally aware approaches, incorporating Kaupapa Māori frameworks and ethical practices in data management and research. You will acquire practical experience with industry-standard tools and technologies, equipping you to convert raw data into meaningful insights and strategic business solutions.
The first trimester highlights strategic information and systems planning, analysis and designs, as well as database management.
The second trimester will delve into IT project management and methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, and PRINCE2. You will also explore business strategy, visualisation and decision making, and data warehousing problematics. The final trimester includes an industry-based capstone project, providing you the opportunity to utilize your skills in addressing real-world challenges and gaining essential hands-on experience.
