Contribute to improving human health by preparing for a career in researching and developing new clinical treatments such as vaccines and drug therapies, or applying your skills in health policy or management.
In the Master of Clinical Immunology (MClinIm), you will delve into advanced immunological theory and techniques, and gain expertise in clinical trial design and practice. Enhance your oral and written communication skills as you study and produce a research paper aimed at publication.
This program is delivered in collaboration with the esteemed Malaghan Institute of Medical Research, New Zealand’s largest private medical research institute. You will also benefit from insights shared by practicing clinicians from local district health boards, the Medical Research Institute of New Zealand, and other research institutions.
The MClinIm program spans one calendar year across three trimesters.
You have the option to pursue either an independent research project or a practical work experience practicum. Both choices provide valuable opportunities to gain firsthand experience in clinical or research settings, potentially at hospitals, research institutes, or other medical organizations.
Upon graduation, you will possess the skills necessary to assess, analyze, and conduct clinical research in immunology within real-world contexts.
