Entry requirements

All candidates are required to: Possess a Level 7 Bachelor’s degree (360 credits) or a higher qualification with an average grade considered satisfactory by the Academic Board*

OR have fulfilled the criteria for the Postgraduate Diploma in Education from NZTC, achieving a grade point average of merit or above.

Disclose any physical or learning disabilities, or diverse needs that may affect their academic performance. Candidates may be asked to participate in a personal interview.

*Those who obtained their qualifications outside of New Zealand will have their credentials evaluated by NZTC and may need to submit an NZQA International Qualifications Assessment to verify the level and credit value of their bachelor’s degree.

International applicants must demonstrate their English language proficiency by meeting the language standards outlined in Rule 18 of the NZQF Programme Approval and Accreditation Rules 2021 for a level 8 qualification.
