Human Interface Technology focuses on enhancing interactive technologies to align with user requirements. This field is applicable across various sectors, including healthcare, rehabilitation, education and training, entertainment, and business. The Human Interface Technology Laboratory (HIT Lab NZ) at UC promotes an initial understanding of human cognition and behavior among students. By integrating diverse perspectives, emphasizing user-centered design, and fostering collaboration with external organizations, graduates acquire the competencies necessary to create impactful work on a global scale. The Master of Human Interface Technology (MHIT) program provides students with opportunities for direct industry engagement through projects and scholarships.
Graduates of the MHIT program will possess:
– A solid understanding of interface design principles
– The capability to assess and articulate the functionalities of interface hardware and software
– Practical experience in collaborative projects and teamwork
– Proficiencies in research and development.
