Course description

The goal of this programme is to ensure that you transition from the classroom to professional work environments equipped with a comprehensive set of IT skills.

The standout feature of the course is the industry internship (CSMAX596) paper, providing you with valuable industry exposure for an entire trimester. Throughout your internship, you will receive guidance and support from both your employer and University supervisor as you tackle real-world challenges within an industry team environment.

The MInfoTech program was established as a collaboration between the University of Waikato and the University of Auckland under the Auckland ICT Graduate School. This initiative aims to cultivate ICT professionals who are well-prepared for the industry. The program focuses on meeting the increasing demand for skilled network and data experts, coders, system architects, web developers, and other ICT professionals ready for the workforce. With technology being the fastest-growing sector in New Zealand and a projected $1.3 trillion growth in the global ICT industry from 2013-2020, the MInfoTech equips you to seize the abundant opportunities within this field.
