Course description

The Master of Professional Accounting isĀ  aimed at providing graduates with the vital skills, knowledge, and competencies needed to thrive as accountants in both local and global contexts. Through hands-on research, students will gain insights into the theoretical challenges confronting the accounting profession, while also building the confidence to challenge conventional practices and create innovative solutions to industry problems. This qualification is endorsed by prominent professional accounting bodies, such as the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), Certified Practicing Accountants Australia (CPA Australia), and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), allowing graduates to achieve provisional membership. Furthermore, the Master of Professional Accounting (MPA) is part of the Business Taught Masters program, providing students with opportunities to explore new career avenues. Individuals from any academic discipline are welcome to apply, as prior experience in Commerce or Accounting is not required.

A bachelor’s degree with at least a B Grade Point Average in 300-level courses is required. Your enrolment will be approved taking into account the relevance and standard of previous studies and experience.
