– a bachelor’s degree or a bachelor’s degree with honours, achieving a B Grade Point Average or higher

– a master’s degree

– recognition of prior academic success that indicates readiness for postgraduate-level study.

Additionally, applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the English language and possess literacy and numeracy skills that align with the standards established by Matatū Aotearoa | Teaching Council of New Zealand, as well as comply with the stipulations of the Children’s Act 2014.

For those seeking a Secondary endorsement, it is essential to have a foundational knowledge from previous studies in a subject pertinent to the Aotearoa New Zealand secondary school curriculum, such as English, physics, or geography.

For a Primary endorsement, candidates must showcase their mathematical abilities.
