User Experience (UX) design examines how individuals interact with and perceive products and services. These interactions might occur on a digital platform, such as a website or app, or within a physical environment, like navigating a museum. Often, these experiences combine both digital and physical elements.
A practical example of a mixed UX experience is travel. This involves various stages, such as researching destinations, booking flights online, checking in and boarding, the flight itself, arrival procedures, luggage collection, and exiting the airport. Each of these steps contributes to the overall user experience.
UX designers perform several key tasks:
– Conduct user research and analysis to understand and define problems.
– Analyze their findings and determine priority solutions.
– Develop concepts to address identified issues.
– Refine these concepts through testing before and after the public launch.
UX designers are adept at research, critical and creative thinking, and effective communication, producing various design outputs.
