Master of User Experience Design – MUXD

Enhance your career potential by acquiring diverse skills in a rapidly expanding field. The Master of User Experience Design (MUXD) program prepares you to develop engaging user experiences, regardless of your previous design experience.

Course description

User Experience (UX) design examines how individuals interact with and perceive products and services. These interactions might occur on a digital platform, such as a website or app, or within a physical environment, like navigating a museum. Often, these experiences combine both digital and physical elements.

A practical example of a mixed UX experience is travel. This involves various stages, such as researching destinations, booking flights online, checking in and boarding, the flight itself, arrival procedures, luggage collection, and exiting the airport. Each of these steps contributes to the overall user experience.

UX designers perform several key tasks:

– Conduct user research and analysis to understand and define problems.
– Analyze their findings and determine priority solutions.
– Develop concepts to address identified issues.
– Refine these concepts through testing before and after the public launch.

UX designers are adept at research, critical and creative thinking, and effective communication, producing various design outputs.

The Master of User Experience Design (MUXD) is a 12-month, 180-point conversion degree designed for professionals and recent graduates from diverse fields. No prior undergraduate degree in design is required for admission.

Our recent students have come from a variety of disciplines, including graphic design, journalism, advertising, computer science, software engineering, teaching, government policy, architecture, psychology, industrial design, and anthropology. This degree will enhance your existing skills, regardless of your background.
