Additionally, you will engage with various community groups and assist with training at local fitness centers. This Level 6 diploma program integrates vocational, project-based learning within the community with theoretical knowledge and professional practice. Upon successful completion of this diploma, you will have the opportunity to progress into the Bachelor of Sport and Recreation program at Auckland University of Technology (AUT), which is offered at the NMIT Nelson campus.

English language requirements:
Those students whose first language is not English should have an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) overall academic score of at least 6.0 (with at least 5.5 in each band) issued within the last two years, or a qualification considered to be equivalent to the above.
