Course description

You have acquired the essential technical skills in hairdressing, and now it is time to refine your abilities and explore your unique creative expression. A comprehensive hairdressing kit will be provided, containing professional-grade tools such as combs, brushes, and various implements necessary for cutting and coloring. You will receive practical training in creating the ideal blow wave, styling long hair, administering hair treatments, and mastering scissor and razor techniques, as well as highlights, foiling, and color styling. Upon completion, you will possess a portfolio showcasing your work, designed to impress potential clients and employers.

Career Prospects

You will have the opportunity to offer basic hairdressing services while being guided by a senior operator, and you will showcase your customer service abilities through both telephone interactions and in-person engagements.

Additionally, you may secure a position as a hairdresser or stylist in a salon or at a fashion event.

Entry is open to beginners and all applicants are considered however you must be:

Have completed New Zealand Certificate in Hairdressing (Salon Support) (Level 3) or equivalent

And an interview may be requested
