Postgraduate Diploma in Communication

Enhance your understanding of both the theoretical and practical aspects of communication by pursuing a Post Graduate degree in Communication from Victoria University of Wellington.

Course description

Gain a deeper understanding of the social, cultural, and professional contexts in which communication takes place, and explore how it shapes, guides, and influences meaning. Through your studies, you’ll build strong critical thinking skills and acquire advanced knowledge of communication theory and practice. You’ll learn to analyse and deconstruct how messages are crafted and delivered by others—whether in media, business, politics, or everyday life—and understand their underlying strategies and impacts. At the same time, you’ll develop the ability to apply these insights creatively and effectively in your own work, using proven communication methods to engage audiences, convey ideas with clarity, and influence perceptions in meaningful ways. This combination of analytical and practical expertise will prepare you to excel in a range of communication-focused roles across multiple industries.
