Programme details
The curriculum provides a solid foundation in geospatial technology. Graduates will be well-prepared for initial roles in the geospatial sector and for advanced studies at the postgraduate level. Students will engage in learning programming, research analysis, database management, geospatial technology, and the presentation of their findings. The program draws on knowledge from various fields, including Data Science, Computer Science, Geography, and Environmental Science.

This course qualifies for 4 points if applying for residency under the Skilled Migrant Category.
Individuals who complete this Diploma will be equipped to meet the prevailing geospatial skill deficiency in Aotearoa New Zealand and abroad, serving a diverse array of industries such as the private sector, public administration, and non-profit organizations.
Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent qualification, achieving at least a B Grade Point Average in 300-level courses that are relevant to geospatial analysis.
Alternatively, three years of pertinent professional experience in a related industry may also be considered for eligibility.
