Graduates can pursue careers in various fields, including media and creative industries, diplomacy, international relations, tourism and marketing, and language software development, among others.
To be eligible for application to the PGDipT&I program, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:
– Hold a bachelor’s degree that includes a minimum of 60 points in 300-level language courses, achieving at least a B+ grade average, or possess an equivalent qualification in one of the following languages: Chinese, French, German, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, or Te Reo Māori.
– Possess any bachelor’s degree accompanied by relevant professional or practical experience in one of the aforementioned languages, or in another language that may be considered upon application.
– Have completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Translation and Interpreting with a minimum B grade average.
– Demonstrate extensive practical, professional, or academic experience that evidences the capability to undertake postgraduate studies, along with proven competence in a relevant language.
