Delivered part-time, classes are held on alternate Saturdays (8:30am – 5:00pm) with additional online sessions every second Wednesday (6pm – 9pm), providing flexibility to balance studies with professional and family commitments. Recorded online sessions ensure accessibility even if attendance in person is not possible.

Spanning two years, the program comprehensively covers all facets of general management with a focus on three core areas: Frameworks, Leadership, and Value Creation. Each module equips leaders with the knowledge and capabilities crucial in navigating today’s dynamic workplace and global economy, marked by rapid digital transformation and the prominence of artificial intelligence.

By completing the Waikato MBA, you will gain expertise in leading high-performing teams, identifying strategic opportunities and challenges, driving positive organisational changes, and adeptly managing complex situations.

The Waikato MBA is distinguished by its strong focus on experiential learning, emphasising practical relevance to immediately enhance value within your own business or organisation.

Classes are structured to address real-world business challenges and expose students to innovative thought leadership, fostering a broader global perspective.

In Part 2 of the program, participants engage in a high-impact research project aimed at benefiting their organizations directly. They also participate in the MBA Case Competition and embark on an overseas MBA Study Tour.

Entry requirements

To be accepted into this programme you will require:

  • A bachelor’s degree with a minimum B-minus grade average across the 300-level papers, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • At least 3 years of management experience.
    alternatively, you may be considered for admission if you do not meet these requirements but have at least 7 years of management experience

Your experience could involve managing projects, processes, or people.
