Ths Bachelor degree is designed to equip individuals in Aotearoa New Zealand with the essential knowledge, technical expertise, and professional competencies necessary for the accounting profession. Graduates will be prepared to apply their skills in an ethical, socially responsible, and sustainable manner across various business environments, in accordance with the principles of Nga Kaupapa o te Tiriti o Waitangi. This three-year, full-time program enables graduates to pursue accounting-related positions across diverse industries and organizations, functioning at both operational and strategic levels.
The Bachelor of Accounting, accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA), meets all necessary standards and is recognized by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) as well as Chartered Practising Accountant Australia (CPA). Students who have successfully completed the New Zealand Diploma in Business (Level 5) Accounting Strand are eligible to receive credit for the first year of the Bachelor of Accounting program and may proceed to study at level 6.
Career opportunities for graduates encompass various roles in business accounting, including financial accounting, management accounting, auditing, taxation, treasury, banking and finance, risk management, and business consultancy, applicable in both the private and public sectors.
Non-native English speakers must provide proof of proficiency through one of the following:
IELTS Test – Academic score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5
Pearson Test of English – PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42
