The Bachelor of Construction prepares you to excel as an innovative leader in the construction industry.
You’ll begin by developing core skills and knowledge essential for construction managers and quantity surveyors, progressing from small domestic projects to complex commercial developments. As you advance, you’ll engage in problem solving, independent research, and explore sustainability and cultural considerations. In your final year, you’ll undertake advanced project and research work, applying technical and strategic thinking to real-world construction challenges.
The Quantity Surveying specialisation is accredited by the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS), ensuring international recognition of your qualification across countries such as Australia, Singapore, Canada, and Japan.

Academic requirements:
-University Entrance as specified by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA)
Or New Zealand Certificate in Study and Employment Pathways (Level 4) Construction and ICT Pathway or equivalent.
-If you have undertaken examinations other than NCEA (e.g. International Baccalaureate, Cambridge Examination), Ara will assess your qualification for academic entry equivalency.

| LanguageCert International ESOL | C1 Expert (overall PASS) with no less than 25/50 in each skill, or Academic test with a minimum score of 65 overall and no skill below 60 |
| Trinity College London ISE | ISE II with no less than distinction or 96 in any band |
