The Bachelor of Health program has been meticulously designed to meet the increasing need for a workforce capable of contributing to the health sector as it expands into various roles within local governments, iwi, indigenous communities, community organizations, private enterprises, individuals, and families. Recognizing the significance of preventative and holistic health approaches, it is essential to cultivate a workforce equipped with knowledge of health service quality and equity, grounded in cultural competency, multidisciplinary expertise, interpersonal and collaborative abilities, applied biomedical skills, critical thinking, and engagement with regional and community contexts.
The BHealth program is fundamentally based on the principle of hauora in practice and encompasses Biomedical Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physiology), Epidemiology, Bioethics, Health Communication and Community Approaches, Māori, Pacific and Indigenous perspectives and practices, Psychology, Sociology, Policy, and Statistics, enabling students to investigate the multifaceted dimensions of health and wellbeing in both applied and theoretical frameworks.

As an international student studying at undergraduate level, you are required to meet academic and English language entry requirements.
