The field of Product Design merges creative design with scientific inquiry, engineering practices, and business education. Product designers engage in the planning and creation of products for various settings, including homes, businesses, and industrial environments. From the development of a new lightweight kayak to the design of a mobile application, as well as the formulation of rongoā (medicinal products) or the establishment of a virtual training platform, a study in product design equips students for a multitude of professional paths.
Graduates will be adept at crafting inventive solutions grounded in their knowledge of applicable sciences and engineering, while also developing the practical business skills required to successfully commercialize innovative products.
Students will be adequately prepared to seek employment in design agencies, manufacturing organizations, engineering consultancies, educational and training firms, research and development entities, and additional sectors. Moreover, you may consider the option of founding your own company.
