The programme is developed in collaboration with New Zealand employers, equips you with the knowledge, practical skills, and analytical techniques required for a career as a laboratory technician. You’ll develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and result interpretation skills.
The programme also covers laboratory quality management, reporting to international standards, and teamwork and independent work skills, alongside personal skills like punctuality and time management.
You can broaden your expertise through electives in areas such as microbiology, analytical and environmental chemistry, food microbiology, and molecular biology. A research project and work placement ensure you are work-ready upon graduation.

Academic requirements:
-A Bachelor’s degree in science or recent relevant experience
