The course is designed to provide students with the essential professional, creative, analytical, and technical competencies necessary for careers or advanced studies in the film, animation, television, cinematography, and digital media sectors. The curriculum includes: Screenwriting, Project Management, Digital Filmmaking, Research Led Industry Practice, Cinematography or Visual Effects Compositing.
This program will enable students to conceptualize, produce, and market digital film or animation projects that meet industry standards. By concentrating on filmmaking, students will enhance skills in professional screenwriting and editing, grasp fundamental technical principles for operating digital cameras, and create well-composed shots with high-quality sound and lighting.
Graduates of this program are well-equipped to pursue further education or enter the workforce in the screen arts field, taking on positions including camera assistant, lighting assistant, director’s assistant, production coordinator, assistant scriptwriter, sound engineer, and transmedia producer.
Applications are open to Bachelor degree graduates who can demonstrate equivalent, relevant, practical professional or educational experience in a related discipline.
Applicants must provide a portfolio of their work when submitting their application, in accordance with the university’s requirements.
Non-native English speakers must provide proof of proficiency through one of the following:
IELTS Test – Academic score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5
Pearson Test of English – PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42
