This course is structured to enhance and expand your knowledge and skills, building on the foundation established during your undergraduate studies in computing. It also aims to facilitate the career growth of current professionals in the information technology sector. The program enhances your existing IT competencies through courses that focus on research and practical application, utilizing a blend of project work, case studies, real-life simulations, and practical experience. The curriculum promotes adaptability, acknowledging the diverse nature of the IT field and the varying interests and requirements of students.
Participants will have access to courses that enable them to research and apply their information technology knowledge and skills in a workplace setting, fostering the development of research skills to address IT problems and challenges.
The qualifications you acquire allow you to seek professional opportunities both domestically and internationally across various industries and organizations. These can include the following roles:

An undergraduate degree in information technology with a B pass or better. Where the applicant’s undergraduate degree does not provide the basis of study at the level required for more advanced study, students will be required to enrol in the Postgraduate Diploma in Information Technology before continuing to Masters level.
English Language Entry Requirements
All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English Language fluency prior to acceptance in the programme. English Language fluency can be verified by achievement of one of the following within the last two years:
New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 5 (Academic)
IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.0
PTE (Academic) score of 58 with no band score lower than 50
International equivalents to IELTS accepted by NZQA or successful study of a programme in which English was the language of instruction (conditions apply)
