Programme
This two-year programme prepares you for a career in construction management across residential and commercial projects. You’ll gain skills in building technology, communication, health and safety, planning, site management, procurement, programming, and contract administration.
The second year includes practical work experience, and the programme offers flexible part-time study options with classes during the day and evenings. Recognised by the NZIOB, graduates can pursue professional membership as a Chartered Building Professional and are also eligible for Licensed Building Practitioner – Site License Classes 1, 2, and 3.
Upon completion, students can explore positions such as:

Academic requirements:
-NCEA Level 2 including mathematics and NCEA Level 1 including Literacy;
-OR a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above
-OR a recognised equivalent
-If you have undertaken examinations other than NCEA (e.g. International Baccalaureate, Cambridge Examination), Ara will assess your qualification for academic entry equivalency.
If English is not the first language, students must provide a result from a test or qualification on the acceptable alternatives.
