This two-year programme prepares you for a career as a quantity surveyor across residential and commercial projects. You’ll learn measurement, estimating, cost planning, procurement, scheduling, and contract administration. Work experience in the second year provides practical industry exposure.
Designed for flexibility, the programme allows part-time study with classes offered during the day and in the evenings. It is accredited by NZIQS and NZIOB, supporting pathways to professional membership and recognition as a Registered Quantity Surveyor or Chartered Building Professional. NZIQS membership also offers international recognition through reciprocal agreements with institutes in Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Canada, and Japan.
Graduates can pursue a range of career opportunities within the Construction, Property, and Project management sectors such as:
-Quantity Surveyor (Junior/Assistant)

-Cost Technician
-Contract Administrator
-Project Coordinator
-Procurement Officer
Academic requirements:
-NCEA Level 2 including mathematics and NCEA Level 1 including Literacy;
OR a relevant qualification at NZQF Level 4 or above
OR a recognised equivalent
-If you have undertaken examinations other than NCEA (e.g. International Baccalaureate, Cambridge Examination), Ara will assess your qualification for academic entry equivalency.

| Trinity College London ISE | ISE II with no less than distinction or 96 in any band |
