It will equip you with the knowledge necessary to serve as a Kaiako, allowing you to effectively support the education and care of infants, toddlers, and young children. Throughout your studies, you will refine your skills and deepen your understanding of age-appropriate resources, strategies to foster tamariki engagement, and the positive impacts on their learning and development. You will acquire essential hands-on experience to prepare you for the workforce. With small class sizes, you will benefit from increased individual attention from your tutor, alongside 8 hours of flexible online study each week. Additionally, the program includes up to 7 weeks of practical work placement, which will help build your confidence and enhance your employment prospects. Graduates of this program will also receive 120 credits towards a Bachelor of Education through Te Rito Maioha.
