The program serves as a fundamental year for advanced mechanical engineering and is structured to enhance your skills for further academic pursuits, paving the way for career paths such as mechanical engineer, mechanical design engineer, mechanical field engineer, piping engineer, or mechanical project engineer.
Graduates of the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering will have the opportunity to secure positions as engineering technicians in environments that are technically or engineering-oriented, specifically aligned with their chosen engineering specialization, such as mechanical engineering.
In the mechanical engineering specialization, potential job roles encompass the design, production, and upkeep of tools, engines, machines, and systems.
Adequate literacy and numeracy and/ or appropriate trades training.
Non-native English speakers must provide proof of proficiency through one of the following:
IELTS Test – Academic score of 6.0 with no band score lower than 5.5
PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42
