The course aims to enhance and deepen your expertise and abilities by building upon the knowledge acquired during your undergraduate studies in computing. It is also designed to support the career advancement of current information technology professionals. The program leverages your existing IT knowledge and skills through courses that involve research and practical application in a setting that integrates project work, case studies, real-world simulations, and hands-on work experience. This approach promotes flexibility, recognizing the varied nature of the IT landscape as well as the diverse interests and needs of students.
Students will engage in courses that allow them to research and apply their information technology knowledge and skills in a professional context, encouraging the use of research skills to identify solutions to IT-related challenges.

An undergraduate degree in information technology with a B pass or better.
English Language Entry Requirements
All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English Language fluency prior to acceptance in the programme. English Language fluency can be verified by achievement of one of the following within the last two years:
New Zealand Certificate in English Language Level 5 (Academic)
IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 with no band score lower than 6.0
PTE (Academic) score of 58 with no band score lower than 50
International equivalents to IELTS accepted by NZQA or successful study of a programme in which English was the language of instruction (conditions apply)
