Students will acquire knowledge in both the theoretical and practical aspects of accountancy, alongside skills in critical thinking, decision-making, and business analysis. The curriculum encompasses the study of financial reports and business tax regulations. As a culmination of their studies, students will undertake an accounting project for an actual business as their final assessment. To gain admission to this program, prospective students must exhibit proficiency in recording and processing financial transactions through a double-entry accounting system, as well as in the preparation of financial statements. Additionally, they should demonstrate an understanding of the analysis and interpretation of financial statements and reports.
This qualification does not permit graduates to practice as chartered accountants. To achieve chartered accountant status, graduates must join Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand (CAANZ) or CPA Australia and complete professional accounting training.
