Course description

This qualification provides students with the chance to engage in an extensive study program within their specialized field of information technology. This program requires a total of 180 credits and offers two distinct pathways: The thesis pathway is a research-based master’s program that includes a 90-credit level 9 thesis module, designed to prepare students for further academic endeavors, such as pursuing a doctorate.

On the other hand, the research project pathway is categorized as a coursework-based master’s program, which includes a 45-credit level 9 research module, serving as a more concise version of the thesis module. This pathway aims to prepare students for advanced roles in the information technology sector, with the potential for an industry

Entry requirements

Admission to this course necessitates one of the following qualifications:

-A bachelor’s degree in Computing, Information Technology, or a related field, achieving a minimum grade average of B during the final year of full-time study, or an equivalent standard in part-time study or;

-A Postgraduate Diploma in Computing, Information Technology, or a related discipline with a grade average of B or higher or;

-Any equivalent qualification as determined by the Centre’s Postgraduate Programme Committee.

Enligh Language requirement:

-Students who have English as a second language require IELTS score of 6.5,with no individual band score of lower than 6.0; or equivalent
