Course description

During your initial year, you will engage in a variety of courses that blend creative and academic elements, focusing on the latest advancements in media and communication studies. The focal point of the program is the research thesis, where you will collaborate with our seasoned supervisors to craft and enhance your thesis. A number of students incorporate a creative aspect into their thesis, such as a screenplay, a detailed journalism piece, , a public relations campaign, a radio show, or a digital media creation.

Entry requirements

Candidates must have successfully finished the Bachelor of Communication Studies or a similar qualification with a B grade average or above in Level 7 courses. Attendance at a selection interview may be necessary.

You must also meet University’s English Language requirements.  For this qualification AUT recognises IELTS (Academic) 7.0 overall with 7.0 in Writing, 6.5 in Reading,  6.5 in Listening and 7.0 in Speaking; or equivalent
